Privacy Policy

This policy covers the NeverSkip app for iPhone and Apple Watch (“NeverSkip 2”) and this website, neverskipfitness.com.

The short version

  • Your training data stays on your iPhone and Apple Watch, and in your own iCloud if you use iCloud. We never receive it.
  • There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, in the app or on this website.
  • NeverSkip has no server of its own. Nothing you log is sent to us or to anyone else, unless you choose to share it with a training partner.

The app

Your training data stays on your devices

Everything you enter in NeverSkip (Exercises, Days, Plans, Sessions, Sets, notes, your settings and the display name you choose) is stored in a database on your iPhone. The Home Screen widget, the Live Activity on your Lock Screen and the Apple Watch app read from that same data on your devices. Your iPhone and Apple Watch exchange it directly, through Apple’s connection between your own devices.

We, the developer, have no access to any of it.

iCloud backup

If you are signed in to iCloud, NeverSkip keeps a backup of your training data in your private iCloud database, so you can restore it on a new iPhone. The backup is stored and protected by Apple under your Apple Account, under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We cannot see or access it.

You can see and delete the backup in NeverSkip’s Settings. Deleting all your data in the app also deletes the backup.

Sharing with training partners (optional)

Sharing is off until you invite someone. When you invite a training partner, NeverSkip shares the following through iCloud, read-only, with the specific people you invite:

  • the display name you set in NeverSkip,
  • your finished Sessions that contain at least one Set, with their Exercises and Sets,
  • the definitions of the Exercises those Sessions use.

Your notes, Plans, Days, a Session in progress and your settings are never shared. When you finish a workout, your partners’ phones may show them a notification about it.

You can remove a partner or stop sharing at any time in NeverSkip’s Settings. This removes their access to your shared data in iCloud. If someone shares their training with you, their data is stored on your iPhone only for as long as you remain their partner.

Apple Watch and Apple Health

If you use NeverSkip on Apple Watch and allow access to Apple Health, the Watch app runs a workout during your Session. While the workout runs, it may read your heart rate and active energy, and shows your heart rate on the Watch. When you finish, the workout is saved to Apple Health as Strength Training. NeverSkip does not keep these Health readings itself.

The iPhone app neither reads nor writes Health data. You can change or revoke Health access at any time in the Health app or in your iPhone’s Settings.

Notifications

Notifications (for example when your rest time is over, or when a partner finishes a workout) are created on your device. We do not run a notification service and do not receive any data from it.

What the app does not do

  • It has no user accounts.
  • It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and no third-party SDKs that collect data.
  • It does not sell or share your data, and does not use it to build a profile of you.

Purchases

Purchases and free trials are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details and do not learn who you are from a purchase. Apple’s Privacy Policy applies.

Crash reports

If you have chosen in your device’s settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymised crash reports and usage statistics. These contain no training data and do not identify you. You can turn this off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

Deleting your data

Delete everything from within NeverSkip’s Settings, or delete the app. Deleting your data in the app also removes your iCloud backup and stops any sharing. Because we never receive your training data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

This website

Hosting

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit, GitHub processes technical data that your browser sends, including your IP address, the page you request and the time, to deliver the site and to keep it secure, and may keep it briefly in server logs. This is in our legitimate interest in running a reliable, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). GitHub is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. See GitHub’s Privacy Statement.

No cookies, no analytics

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking, and loads nothing from other companies’ servers: fonts, images and scripts are all served from this site.

Voice preference

If you pick a different voice for this page, your browser remembers that choice, and, for the Devoted voice, that you confirmed you are an adult. This is stored only in your browser (local storage) so the page can keep your choice. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Download buttons link to Apple’s App Store. Once you follow them, Apple’s Privacy Policy applies.

If you used NeverSkip 1

The previous NeverSkip app (2021–2026) worked differently: it had user accounts and stored data on our servers. NeverSkip 2 does not use those servers and does not carry over data from them. If you would like your NeverSkip 1 account and data deleted, or a copy of them, email us and we will take care of it.

Contacting us by email

If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you, and delete them when the conversation is over unless the law requires us to keep them.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and transfer your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because we hold almost no personal data about you, most requests will be about NeverSkip 1 or an email you sent us. To exercise your rights, write to office@felixholz.com. We answer within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Austria this is the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Wien, dsb.gv.at.

Changes to this policy

If NeverSkip starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
